About Me

My name is Irina, and I am a passionate costume designer with extensive experience in creating unique, imaginative, and memorable designs. My journey began at the Stieglitz Academy of Art and Design in Saint Petersburg, where I honed my design skills. My first professional role was as a women’s wear designer for a fashion brand in Saint Petersburg in 2017. However, it was my work as an assistant costume designer on the film TZAREVNA SCALING by Uldus Bakhtiozina that ignited my true passion for costume design.

Since 2019, I have been living and working in China, where I design costumes for local theme parks and circuses. In 2021, I joined CHIMELONG GROUP, where I lead costume design for characters across three major theme parks in Guangzhou. My expertise includes sketching, technical drawings, costume decoration, print design, and managing production processes both locally and remotely.

Shortly after joining Chimelong, I took on the responsibility of guiding and supporting my assistant, helping her develop her skills and grow professionally. Two years later, she became a designer herself. During the 2024 Halloween project, I was entrusted with managing a small team of two designers: a Chinese designer and a Russian designer, which allowed me to further develop my leadership and teamwork skills.
